Here is something different, and may just be more enjoyable than other vacations you may have been on that were all about beautiful sunny locations. The National Finals Rodeo is simply put, a blast. It really is something you have to experience to really know how fun it is. It may not sound like a great time, but it really is.

This year is the 50th anniversary of the rodeo. The biggest prize money rodeo in the world. This is the Super Bowl of rodeos. Held in Las Vegas, NV you can certainly believe that this is going to be an event with tons of entertainment besides the great rodeo.

Of course there is the city of Vegas to entertain you outside of the actual rodeo events, and the other rodeo exclusives such as the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show. The Cowboy Christmas Gift Show is over 300,000 square feet of show floor hosting 400 plus vendors from across the United States and Canada, and will showcase their unique products which include: customized jewelry, western wear, boots and spurs, furniture, original art, handmade crafts and pottery, as well as providing the best source for the Official Wrangler NFR and PRCA merchandise. Putting an event like this smack dab in an entertainment capitol is pure genius.

The National Final Rodeo tickets are on sale now. The rodeo itself is December 4-13, 2008, but tickets sell out MONTHS in advance. You need to look into it now if you want to go. It is a 10-day event, but smaller day packages are available. I have taken on a 3-day package myself in the past and was more than happy with that term for the event. I would have loved to have stayed longer, but just couldn’t get away form more than 3 days.
